Hi,
I just submitted my first package for review at pyOpenSci. I’m very curious to get to know better this community.
I found that while the current issue template was sufficient to guide my submission. It seemed a bit messy at times. So I feel that an issue form may help to structure the information better.

hi there @Midnighter !! welcome to pyopensci!
We look forward to working with you on the review that you submitted.
As for the submission - the suggestion of moving to a form is a great one. thank you!
In fact i’ve been trying to pull data from our issues using Python. I am finding a lot of inconsistencies in how data are entered on each issue.
I"m curious - are there specific parts of the form that you found to be particularly confusing / messy?
We will absolutely look into the form option as it seems like it could alleviate some issues.

What I noticed so far:
‘Domain Specific & Community Partnerships’ could be a section/subsection and the check list is misformatted.
I missed the part ’ For all submissions’ the first time around because it’s in the section on community partnerships. That definitely deserves its own section rather than being a disconnected, bold bullet point.
A major benefit of forms is also that the descriptions are already formatted, making them easier to grasp.
@Midnighter THANK YOU for this feedback. it’s helpful as it’s the first feedback we’ve gotten on this template being confusing and i can understand why it’s confusing from your comments. i’m going to play around with forms a bit to see how that might enhance our process.
